Hazardous Waste Management

 

At Blue Star, we prioritise sustainable manufacturing and responsible management of hazardous materials throughout our manufacturing process. 


Our facilities employ robust monitoring systems to track material usage and proactively seek cutting-edge processes and technologies that minimise their use. Additionally, we ensure that our products comply with the strictest standards, containing no lead, mercury, cadmium, or other hazardous substances beyond levels permitted by the most stringent environmental regulations.

Water Management

 

Blue Star prioritises water conservation through innovative solutions for green manufacturing. Cutting-edge testing machines optimise both quality and efficiency, while dedicated water harvesting facilities capture every drop. 

 

All our manufacturing plants in India are equipped with rainwater harvesting facilities and have achieved zero liquid discharge through water treatment of used water (ETP, STP).

With green manufacturing, we are committed to minimising our environmental impact through responsible practices like e-waste management. This is why we emphasise the proper disposal of all non-centralised air conditioners, which fall under India's Schedule 1 E-Waste Management Rules.

 

Disposing of electronic waste with regular waste can harm the environment and put future generations at risk. Instead, we should store used air conditioners separately and choose authorised e-waste recyclers for their responsible and eco-friendly disposal.

Blue Star takes pride in facilitating the safe and environmentally responsible disposal of all our air conditioners through green manufacturing, classified as CEEW4 (Consumer Electrical & Electronics Waste) products. We offer convenient options for customers to recycle their used air conditioners by simply handing them over to our authorised sales and service dealers (SSDs) or designated collection centres (Warehouses).
